Derek Hape, founder of ProofAllocator

Derek Hape — Founder & Owner

I founded ProofAllocator to bring a more evidence-based approach to growth decisions in service businesses. Before starting ProofAllocator, I spent 25 years owning and operating a painting and decorating business, giving me first-hand insight into the commercial and operational realities of service businesses.

Across those years I managed quoting, teams, job delivery, margins, cash flow and client relationships — and saw how easily revenue can be delayed, missed or eroded without clear financial visibility.

ProofAllocator is built to help service businesses identify revenue leakage, improve decision-making and scale with greater confidence.

Capabilities in Development

Revenue Leak Scan

Structured analysis of exported business data to identify potential missed revenue, overdue receivables, margin pressure and operational anomalies.

Designed for pilot-stage evidence gathering.

Evidence Verification

The intended workflow reconciles findings against source data and business context before treating them as actionable opportunities.

Evidence before recommendation.

Action Prioritisation

The intended workflow ranks potential opportunities by supporting evidence and commercial relevance.

Clarity over noise.
App development

Turn ordinary business exports into better questions.

ProofAllocator Revenue Forensics is being developed as an evidence-first application that flags potential commercial issues in accounting and operational data. Findings require source verification and are not guaranteed recoveries.

Evidence-first. App-led. Built for practical decisions.

The first release is being designed around controlled data imports, transparent findings, verification and action prioritisation before deeper integrations are added.

What a Finding Could Look Like

An illustrative report format: a signal, the evidence behind it, and the checks needed before action.

Synthetic demonstration only. These fictional entries were written to explain the proposed format. They are not customer results or output from a verified app run. Amounts are not guaranteed recoveries and must not be added together as a revenue forecast.
Illustrative findings — amounts in Australian dollars
SignalExample evidenceVerification before action
Overdue receivableInvoice DEMO-001: $2,400 reported outstanding, 30 days past its due date.Check payments, credit notes, disputes and allocation errors. This is an existing receivable, not newly earned revenue.
Completed work without a matched invoiceJob DEMO-002: marked complete; $1,200 quoted; no invoice matched in the supplied example records.Confirm the work was billable, the agreed price, and whether an invoice exists elsewhere. Missing data alone does not prove missed billing.
Margin outlierJob DEMO-003: revenue $5,000, direct costs $4,000, gross profit $1,000 — a 20% gross margin.Check cost completeness, tax treatment, timing and job scope. A low margin is a diagnostic signal, not recoverable cash.

Limited Pilot Enquiries

For service-business owners and the accountants or bookkeepers who support them. The preferred business revenue range is A$500K–A$5M annually. The app remains an internal test build; an enquiry is not access to a public app or confirmation of a pilot place.

1. Start with the problem

Email a brief overview of the business type and the issue you want to understand. Accountants can describe a general client need without identifying the client.

No attachments or confidential records at this stage.

2. Clarify the scope

The enquiry is the starting point for discussing suitability and the proposed review. Availability, deliverables, timing and any fees need to be confirmed before participation.

3. Agree before sharing

Do not send exports until the data required, authority to share it, transfer method, access, retention, deletion and confidentiality arrangements have been agreed.

Enquiries & Data Safety

This website provides information about an app in development. It has no financial-data upload form and does not provide public access to the internal app.

Keep the first email general

Use research@proofallocator.com for pilot questions. Your message and email address are sent through email services; this is not a dedicated secure transfer channel for financial exports. Do not include customer records, account credentials, payroll information or other confidential business data.

Before any business-data review

The responsible parties need to agree what information is necessary, who is authorised to share and access it, how it will be transferred and stored, how long it will be retained, how deletion will work, and what confidentiality terms apply. Do not treat this page as confirmation that those arrangements are already in place.

Questions about an enquiry

Contact the same email address to ask about information you have sent, or to request correction or deletion. Do not send additional sensitive records to identify an earlier message.

This is guidance for initial enquiries, not a complete privacy policy for a live data-processing service. The applicable privacy information and participation terms need to be confirmed before a business-data pilot begins.
